We&#39;re looking for a Business Development Manager to represent a premium beverage portfolio across East London&#39;s independent on-trade, the bars, the music-led venues, the specialist retailers that set the tone for what&#39;s next in drinking culture.</p>

<p>This one&#39;s a bit different.</p>

<p>One of the world&#39;s most iconic whisky retailers, a genuine institution, is hiring its first dedicated platform developer. A business with serious heritage, a loyal global customer base, and five active revenue streams: flagship retail, D2C e-commerce, cask trading, own-label bottling, and international export.</p>

<p>The tech stack currently does the job. But it&#39;s a patchwork (Shopify, Airtable, WineHub, Xero) custom integrations holding it together, and they know it&#39;s going to become a ceiling as they scale.</p>

<p><strong>Your job is to replace it with something properly built.</strong></p>

<p>You&#39;ll design and ship a single internal platform from the ground up: a real source of truth, clean ETL pipelines, a custom internal web app, and serverless integrations across all their source systems. You&#39;ll report directly to the CEO, hold full architectural ownership, and see the impact of your work immediately across the business.</p>

<p>This is not a role where you implement someone else&#39;s spec. You decide the architecture. You make the call on the stack. You own it.</p>

<p><strong>What we&#39;re looking for:</strong> You&#39;ve designed a relational data model, built a backend around it, and shipped a usable web app. You&#39;re comfortable with Azure, unfazed by data pipelines and API integrations, and you use AI-assisted development fluently, not performatively. You&#39;ve probably been the &quot;everything engineer&quot; at an early-stage startup, or you&#39;re coming from a backend/data/cloud background and want more ownership than your current role gives you.</p>

<p><strong>The portfolio</strong></p>

<p>You&#39;ll be working across a handpicked range of premium spirits that have been deliberately chosen: multi-award-winning gin, an additive-free sustainable tequila, a world-class independent whisky bottler, and more. These are brands with genuine stories, strong quality credentials, and real demand in the right venues. Your job is to put them in front of the right people and build the kind of listings that last.</p>

You&#39;re comfortable working independently, managing your own diary, and taking ownership of your numbers.</p>
