The Role
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in developing and implementing this distillery's international sales strategy. You will be responsible for growing brand awareness, increasing distribution, and securing strong sales performance in global markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and executing a strategic sales plan to expand their presence internationally.
• Building and managing relationships with distributors, retailers, and key on- and off-trade partners.
• Identifying new market opportunities and working to secure listings with leading global whisky retailers and importers.
• Representing the portfolio at international whisky events, trade shows, and industry gatherings, acting as a key ambassador for the brand.
• Negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring strong commercial performance in all international territories.
• Collaborating closely with marketing and production teams to align sales strategies with brand objectives and inventory planning.
• Monitoring market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
• Providing regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially driven individual who is passionate about whisky and experienced in international sales. The ideal candidate will have:
• A proven track record in international sales, preferably within the whisky or premium spirits industry.
• A strong network of global distributors, trade partners, and industry contacts.
• A deep understanding of key whisky markets, consumer trends, and sales channels worldwide.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to secure and maintain strong partnerships.
• The ability to work independently and strategically, managing multiple markets and projects simultaneously.
• A passion for premium whisky, with the ability to confidently communicate our story, values, and product range.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required.
