They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in both domestic and international markets. Taking ownership of their Premium Blended, Blended Malt and Rum Range. They are looking for a Business Development Manager with genuine enthusiasm, drive, and a know-how to support and grow with our world-class team.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside importers and distributors; assisting with the creation, development and implementation of marketing and business plans, and ensure growth.
- Delivering a positive performance v budget on all key metrics (KPIs)
- Distributor Management, oversee day-to-day relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, conducting thorough market research and building customer relationships.
- Foster strong connections, introduce new products, and provide value-added services to maintain customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop innovative strategies and identify opportunities for brand expansion.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights for developing new products, services, and distribution channels.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, hosting tastings and participating in trade shows.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Sales Director and Head of Marketing.
Requirements:
- Experience: a minimum of three years of proven experience in the whisky industry or a related beverage sector, with a demonstrated track record of success and a deep understanding of consumer preferences and market trends.
- Communication and presentation: strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and persuade potential customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, possessing strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for whisky: possess a genuine passion for whisky, with a deep understanding of the craft and a commitment to sharing its excellence.
