This award-winning, family-owned distillery in the heart of Angus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Distillery Experience Manager to lead its visitor centre operations. The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the daily operations of tours, tastings, and events, ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable, educational, and high-quality experience. This leadership role involves team management, commercial growth, marketing collaboration, and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee all tours, tastings, and events with consistent quality and professionalism.

Manage bookings, staffing, health & safety, and day-to-day logistics.

Ensure retail areas are well-stocked and visually appealing.
Sales & Business Growth

Develop and deliver strategies to increase visitor numbers, retail sales, and event revenue.

Collaborate with marketing to promote new experiences, seasonal offerings, and special events.

Set and achieve commercial targets across all areas of the visitor experience.
Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and lead a team of guides and event staff.

Conduct performance reviews, set team goals, and foster a culture of high standards and enthusiasm.
Customer Service
Finance & Reporting

Create and manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Analyse data and trends to continuously improve profitability and performance.
Marketing & Promotion

Work closely with internal teams to support campaigns via social media, newsletters, and PR.

Represent the brand at trade shows, festivals, and industry events.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential

Proven experience in hospitality, visitor attraction, or tourism management (ideally in spirits or drinks).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

A passion for premium spirits and guest experience.

Commercial acumen with experience meeting targets and managing budgets.
Desirable

Experience in whisky, gin, or spirits sectors.
