The Role
This is an entrepreneurial whisky and premium spirits business working with private collectors, high-net-worth clients, aspiring independent bottlers and commercial partners around the world. Their services include cask and premium bulk spirit sales, bespoke bottling projects, brand and liquid development and an expanding portfolio of independently bottled products.
They are now looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to help them grow globally. You’ll become a central part of the commercial team, generating new business, nurturing key relationships and representing their brand with pride and professionalism.
This role is designed to evolve into Sales Management with future leadership opportunities as the business scales.
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales & Commercial Growth
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across multiple markets
- Lead sales of whisky casks, premium bulk spirits, bottling and branding projects and future products
- Proactively identify and convert high-value leads
- Confidently close deals through a consultative approach
Relationship Management
- Become a trusted partner to clients, managing accounts long-term
- Work with high-net-worth individuals in private and business settings
- Maintain regular contact and ensure exceptional client experience
- Support after-sales service and follow-through
Brand Representation & Networking
- Deliver in-person and virtual whisky tastings linked to commercial opportunities
- Attend global whisky events, client meetings and networking engagements
- Expand their network of collectors, industry peers and commercial partners
- Contribute to market intelligence and identify new verticals for growth
Business Development Collaboration
- Have ownership of defined commercial areas with autonomy to drive results
- Work closely with the founders to refine BD strategy and campaign focus
- Contribute ideas and support innovation across products and services
- Get involved across different functions as a key member of a young, growing team
