This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced whisky professional ready to take the next step in their blending career. Working alongside a Head Blender, you will be directly involved in shaping house style, refining recipes, and developing both core and limited-edition whiskies.
This role sits at the intersection of craftsmanship, science, and creativity. From new make assessment to cask selection and final blend approval, your palate and judgement will play a key role in defining flavour for years to come.
What you’ll be doing

Evaluating new make spirit from multiple distillery sites and working with production teams to refine spirit character.

Selecting casks for core expressions and special releases, ensuring consistency with established house style.

Collaborating on small-batch blends, innovation projects, and long-term maturation strategies.

Leading quality checks on new make, maturing spirit, blends, and finished products.

Overseeing blending operations and supporting re-racking and spirit movements.

Producing detailed tasting notes for marketing, education, and brand storytelling.

Working closely with distillery managers, operations teams, and external partners.

Representing the business at selected industry events and tastings.
What we’re looking for

Deep whisky knowledge with highly developed sensory and analytical tasting skills.

Proven experience in cask selection, product assessment, or blending environments.
